Unzip Convoro where your web server will serve it, point a browser at the address, and the installer takes over: database details, the first administrator account, and the name of the site.
PHP 8.3 or newer. 8.5 is what Convoro is built and tested on and is worth having, but it is a recommendation and not a requirement — 8.3 and 8.4 are supported and the test suite is run against 8.3.
The extensions: pdo_mysql, mbstring, gd and zip are required. curl is not — the forum runs without it, but update checks, PayPal, push notifications and webhooks all need it, so have it if you can.
🚨 If the installer says an extension is missing and you are certain it is enabled, PHP is almost always reading a different php.ini from the one you edited — XAMPP ships several, and the command line and the web server often use different ones. The installer names the file it is actually reading. Restart the web server after editing it.
There is deliberately no Composer install, no asset build and no command to run. If your host gives you FTP and a database, that is enough.
🚨 The installer stops existing once the site is installed. It is not disabled by a flag you could flip back — the routes are simply not registered once a config file and applied migrations both exist. There is no install directory to remember to delete.
